One of the first acoustic hip-hop/classical albums to be released, ShoutHouse is a collaboration among artists from diverse musical backgrounds in New York City. Founded by composer and pianist Will Healy, the ensemble includes a classical string section, two rappers, a jazz vocalist and drummer, and a Balkan clarinetist. Featured artists on this album include MC Jai Issa (Tracks 1, 2, 4, and 5), singer Julia Anrather (Tracks 1 and 4), MC a.Piff (Tracks 3 and 5), and clarinetist/saxophonist Connell Thompson (Tracks 3 and 4).
